These are more than clothesline tighteners. They are excellent tent/tarp/truck tie downs. Had some military ones that I gave to my son. The 3 ball bearing spring tightener really works. I use 3/16” solid braid nylon rope. Generic item. Don’t pay more than $5 each including shipping.

They seem Saturday & substantial, wish they came with directions however

Great for everyone who loves their clothes smelling fresh like outdoors. Keeps the line taught so your garments aren’t dragging the ground or worse if you’ve got pets or pests running around in your yard area.

They work and are easy to install. Excellent value

To thread the clothesline through, pull back on the little round handle. It has spring tension and when pulled it opens up the little ball bearing inside so that the clothesline can go through easily. Start threading from the opposite end of the little handle and keep pushing until it comes out the other end. Then pull the clothesline and tight as you can to make it taut, and then push the little handle back the way it came. It won't go far, but it should secure the line. If you have a softer cotton rope for your clothesline, you may need a little help pushing it through by using a pencil or something similar.

Did hold the cable. Not worth the money doesn't do what it's supposed to do

Definitely great for the job and serves its purpose. Tightens the line with ease!
