I know anyone who has ever taken any kind of iron supplement may think that I have lost my mind by declaring that this one is tasty, but I actually enjoy taking this. The fact its in its own little pouch is ideal. No measuring cups and keeping the tonic in the fridge which sticks to the shelf when you've got a bit of the liquid on the bottom of the bottle. Yes, there is that usual irony taste, but it minimal to me. It has got a nice appleness to it. I will always by these from now on, as finding an iron supplement that 1. Doesn't make you constipated and 2. Doesn't feel like torture to take, is like searching for the holy grail. I have been anaemic since I very young and later discovered I have the Thalassaemia Trait which predisposes me to being anaemic, plus I suffer with IBS, so anything thats going to effect my digestion which is already up the spout, isn't very helpful. Spatone does not cause me any problems of that nature. I haven't been taking it long enough to notice a physiological difference, but thats because I haven't been taking it for long enough, but I do feel that its doing me good and is going to work. I even use it as a drink when I get hungry, as I am on a diet and a pouch puts some flavour in my mouth, acts like a drink, gives me iron and Vit C and helps stave of that feeling for a little longer, which buys me a little time, for me to be in a position to prepare a quick but simple meal in my own self made diet plan, as opposed to grabbing whatever I can get food wise, which is nearby and convenient, which is a no no. Very useful !

The most gentle iron I’ve found
I started needing to take additional iron when pregnant. Tried the prescribed supplements a few times a week, Floradix and gummies. All either upset my stomach or tasted a lot like iron/blood. This tastes nice (a little like iron) and because it is in sachets and does not need to be refrigerated it is easy to take first thing on an empty stomach to maximise absorption. It’s not cheap and if you are pregnant one sachet is not much of your RDA but it worked well for me when combined with an iron rich diet.

The taste is not too bad
I like its consistency which is not unpleasant to the mouth. The smell, like any other liquid iron supplement, can be a bit noticeable in the beginning but you can get used to it. With that smell, the taste is not too bad. I believe it somehow helps with my serum iron level to stay on an acceptable level so I’m happy with it overall.

Fastest & gentlest way to increase your iron levels.
This is the fastest-working & gentlest supplement I've ever used & I have tried many iron supplements. Works very fast if you take 2 sachets a day to get your iron levels back up, then use 1 daily to maintain. Even taking 2 sachets doesn't disturb digestion. The apple flavour is nice, largely masking the metallic taste of the water & making it very palatable to take on it's own. I first tried this 15 years ago & nothing has worked faster than 2 sachets of this a day.

Pleasant taste...gentle on stomach..Good for vegetarians
The media could not be loaded. Spatone iron supplement sachets are a good natural way to increase your iron levels. The iron rich water is kind on your stomach & has fewer unpleasant side effects often associated with iron supplements such as stomach irritation & constipation.I have been using these sachets for years. As a vegetarian I struggled to get enough iron in my diet & would regularly be given tablets by the doctor. These would often upset my tummy but made me feel better!I was recommended these sachets by a pharmacist ...it honestly changed my life !I take a sachet every morning to keep my levels up & have not had to use any more tablets. My skin & thickness of my hair have greatly improved.I would definately recommend..the apple flavour is delicious..the original flavour not so nice....but can be cheaper.Easy to open & drink straight from sachet.Best on an empty stomach.Added vitamin C (100% of NRV) which helps you body absorb the iron.Iron Contributes to normal energy yielding metabolism & normal function of the immune system.Each sachet contains iron (FE2+) 5mg 36% NRV
