Not a Trilogy
God Emperor of Dune is a transitional book. It fulfills the promise of the firstthree books. Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse Dune were the first two partsof a planned trilogy, but Frank Herbert died before he could write it. His sonBrian -- drawing from the elder Herbert's notes -- later finished the storylinewith Hunters of Dune and Sandworms of Dune, thereby expanding it to aquartet. My personal favorite Dune book is God Emperor, followed by Children, and thenSandworms. I don't like the first and second books on their own because I feelthat Paul is a misguided horror.

Good and fast service
Book arrived on time and is in good quality. It doesn't even feel like over 30 years old book.

Not as good as the earlier books
Realising I'd never read any of the Dune books, I bought both trilogies. I won't review the first trilogy here, but I'd give it 4-5 stars. The later books, however, lack the coherence of the first three, and when the final one just stops, it leaves you thinking "What was all that about?". You could argue, on the positive side, that a lot of new ideas are introduced, but so few of them come to anything that the overall impression is quite unsatisfactory. (Maybe it needed a third trilogy to pull together all the threads!) Read this volume out of curiosity by all means, but in my opinion you might as well stop after the first trilogy.
