Extremely durable bag that helps you catch em' all.
I purchased this bag for my kayak and when I am fishing the neighborhood ponds where I do not need to bring a lot of tackle. My main items to bring are: keys, phone, wallet, leader, gloves, some lures, and pliers. For this review, I was unable to locate a tape measure to give you an accurate measurement of the bag, so I used a few bananas for scale. The construction of the bag is very well done. The company used a flexible, lightweight, and waterproof material that resembles the outer skin of a hydration backpack. The inside provides a nice mesh that will alleviate any sweat that may accumulate in the area. Every seam was done using a double stitch seam for strength and durability. Overall, the bag is extremely well made. One flaw I see with the construction is its nylon hook and loop fastener in the middle of the bag. It seems the fastener may wear itself out in the future from either its “stickiness” or the rectangular bit may come off from repeated use.One feature I extremely like is its plier holder. It has a very nice “V” shape that allows pliers to stay without fear of falling off. The additional nylon hook and loop fastener reinforces the pliers from falling off. Only one type of plier can be held from this location at any time.I also noticed more weight in the bag means the bag will only stay on the back when staying still. Once the bag is loaded with gear, it will tend to drift to the side instead of staying on the back. A stability strap would help that. The Madbite SlingBack Fishing Backpack will treat you well for years to come. If Madbite had additional options for a slightly larger bag, I would have gotten that instead. As you can see from the photos I posted, the bag is fairly small and is only a bit taller than a banana. Overall, a great outdoors bag that is extremely lightweight and durable.

I absolutely love my Madbite Slingback Fishing Backpack
I absolutely love my Madbite Slingback Fishing Backpack! This little thing has changed my life as far as organization goes for my fishing excursions! I used to carry all of my tackle and fishing tools within whatever plastic bag i had laying around and now i have this super stylish slingback backpack that easily carries everything i need during a fishing trip. I put a small plastic tackle box within the big pocket with the necessary tackle i need. I also holds all of my Madbite pliers, knives, and de-hooking tools. I could not be more happy with my purchase.

Overall it's well worth the money
Completely as described. Best I can tell there is one manufacturer for a few different companies on Amazon.Read the reviews about which standard plastic cases it will hold. Actually took mine into Bass Pro Shop and test fit a few of them before buying one. Ended up with one double sided case and one super small for the front pocket.Overall I'm happy with it. It sits well on my hip for easy access while fishing. You can get a few plastic containers set up for easy swap out depending on your fishing type of the day (panfish vs bass, etc).Got mine mostly for bank/dock fishing. Great for that. Ok for kayak fishing. It's small enough to keep in your lap.Overall it's well worth the money if you don't feel like lugging around the full backpack versions sold at Bass Pro.

who didn't like it that day
I bought this for my nephew (age 4), who didn't like it that day. His dad shortened the straps a bit by tying a simple knot on each side of the detachable and adjustable cross-body strap, and tried it on him. He still didn't like it. It is still a bit big, as it's designed for grow-ups. Eventually he found that he could carry an impressive supply of Legos as well as a flashlight and numerous other things dear to a boy's heart, and they have become inseperable. This bag is very well made, the zippers work well, the straps are impressively adjustable, and the pockets are good sizes. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Love this! Used it for a trip to Disney
Love this! Used it for a trip to Disney. Held band aids, shout wipes, Tylenol packets in the small compartment. Main compartment held 2 tablets, wipes, cell phone, sunscreen and more. next larger pouch held batter phone charger and ponchos. Unbelievable how much stuff this small pack holds.

Great little tackle bag.
Great little bag for creek fishing. Light weight, carries all my granddaughter and I need. Very unobtrusive when worn on the back for casting, walking and, most important, releasing fish. It even has a waterproof pocket for my phone and snacks. Buy with confidence.

it settles nicely on my right hip
Had this bag for a couple months now. Has plenty of storage for fishing on the go. When wearing it, it settles nicely on my right hip. I put my boomerang braid cutter on the carabiner clip, and my Leatherman Wave in the small pocket, so everything I need right away is instantly in my hands.
