This camera while a bit bulkier than others is much more affordable. It is designed well and makes it easy to install and adjust the camera for the image you want. It's standard plug works well with my Buyers Products brand rear observation system. In normal light the image quality is decent. It is not as good as my rear camera which has a Sony CCD chip in it but for seeing down the side of the rig for a turn or as a security system it is sufficient. The biggest issue ive seen so far is it doesnt do well if the sun is directed towards the camera. It tends to wash out the image. This can be helped a bit by adjusting the camera angle down within the mount but it isnt a perfect fix. Overall i am initially happy with the camera and will be road testing the two I installed on my RV soon.

If a photo will help your buying decision, the Amazon photos are accurate. Compatibility is the issue for anyone, like me, with a Voyager/ASA Industries OEM system. My Voyager cameras have failed or are in the process of failing, after 7 years of use. A replacement Voyager camera cost as much as an entire lower priced camera system. When I ordered, I expected a need to cut the provided cable connector off and splice it into the ASA Industries brand specific connector. However, what prevented me from performing this task is the enormity of this camera's housing, need to drill 4 new holes in my RV, lack of a rubber gasket and general finished appearance. The entire housing and base are made of plastic. I have no experience with how the camera would perform, as I never connected it or tested them. I will be returning both camera I ordered. I think these camera are better suited on a utility trailer or similar installation location.

I bought this to use as a side mount camera for my 35' motorhome. I communicated with the seller both before and after purchasing the unit. Seller was extremely helpful and quickly responsive. I had no idea what to expect, except from reading the reviews. I mounted the unit about 6" from the front, facing back. Wow! was I impressed!! I had absolutely no blind spots. Even if a car was about in line with the front of my vehicle in an adjacent lane, I could clearly see his entire vehicle and lane, in addition to the entire side of the motorhome. It has a very wide field of view. Picture quality is excellent, day and night. I was so impressed, I intend to purchase another one for the other side of the rig, and possibly replace my rear camera with one of these as well.Note that I rarely write reviews, and only do if the product is exceptionally good or bad. I am not being compensated for this review, and paid full price for my camera. You won't go wrong with this camera or seller! I can't believe the one negative review. This was certainly not the case with my unit.

I use this camera in the bed of my truck so that I don’t have to yell at my wife while backing onto my fifth wheel camper. This camera has sure saved her from very colorful language coming from the cab of my truck. She is directionally challenged and always given me directions opposite of where I needed to go. We are now back on speaking terms and I’m saving tons of money in legal fees. 17th anniversary trip later this week and I owe it all to this product. Next time you start to yell at your wife, remember this review and tip to buy this camera from your old uncle Don!!

This purchase saved me about $70 compared to a very similar model from Tadi Bros. This one has a metal case, RCA connectors compatible with Tadi transmitter, and night vision that really works.

Don't listen to the other fake reviews. This seller is being attacked by fake accounts buying and returning the product just to make a negative review.The camera is great. I've had it installed since I received it about 2 months ago and it runs all the time while I drive. Good enough quality to be able to read the person's license plate behind you.Only annoying thing about it is the infrared (night vision) switches constantly at night light to dark to light as I'm driving through the city.

Put on back of camper bumper. Great for the price. $20. Day picture pretty good, night vision is horrible in complete darkness. In order on night pics, dark, taillights, then brake lights. Very good with brake lights on.

After few months and some rains, I got water in the only one I bought.Disappointed as now I have to take it off and try to service it.Not recommended.PSAfter removing the water within, it seems the gasket/thread has a poorly design.
