Q: What tools if any do I need to assemble the frame and drawers?

I can't actually remember now but nothing fancy, simple screwdriver and possibly a hammer just to secure the dowels.

Q: What thickness of wood are the base of the draws made from?

They are made of thin hardboard rather than wood, but they are not fixed to the bed the draws just push underneath.

Q: Does anyone still have their instructions and could pop a photo up on here somehow or on a review? Our bed has arrived without them.

Very sorry , my beds came without under bed storage, they were sold on that basis.
