Great Buy to save headaches later
I bought these based entirely off the reviews of others and I am not disappointed. I've only had to remove them twice for vent cleaning and getting them on/off is SOOO much easier vs the old screws! It was 100% worth it.

Cancel The THUMB Screw
Used for clothes dryer exhaust. If the clothes dryer metal exhaust pipe is too short or if the metal exhaust pipe on the wall is wall is too short, you may also have a terribly hard time winding/tightening the exhaust hose around the metal exhaust pipe. The "wings" get in your way. I chose this metal clamp because I hate trying to open the usually very tightly-springed "spring" clamp and install it over the metal exhaust pipes. I ended up replacing one THUMB SCREW CLAMP for the kind of similar clamp which requires a socket wrench or a screwdriver to tighten. I did use one THUMP SCREW CLAMP over a longer metal exhaust pipe (wall) but stuck the other THUMB SCREW CLAMP in my "save it for a rainy day" drawer. By the way, my appliance repair serviceman recommended that the exhaust hose coil be wrapped in aluminum, NOT plastic or aluminum-covered plastic, which both allow heat to escape from the drying drum, and therefore cause your dryer to take longer to dry your laundry. He also recommended an "outdoor vent" to not allow varmints to enter your dryer. ADDENDUM: The day after I wrote this review I learned that non-aluminum exhaust coils can also cause fires. You want metal exhaust pipe or aluminum exhaust coil.

Sweetest invention since sliced bread!
I needed the clamp for my dryer hose. The space limited me to one-hand and one-eyed installation. It was possible and accomplished. No way would it EVER have been seen to fruition had it required the old clamp that required a hand for the clamp, fingers to place and hold the tightening screw coupled with a necessary screwdriver to install! Best invention in a long time!
