Jodie Foster is wonderfully fascinating in the role she plays and the unique to expanding plot that occurs as Richard Gere falls into her life to suddenly make a world that, later, leaves the audience wondering: ...Is this really the life it's supposed to be?You gotta see it! Good drama. Action. Suspense.

This is an interesting tale about a man and his choices in life, and the ramifications of those choices. It is a tale of romance in part, but with a sad and complicated ending. There is a mystery about the lead man and questions about his identity. Is who he said he was? In either case, whomever he is determined to be by the court, the resulting ramifications would not be good. Themes in this movie including trust, love and passion, and how who we choose to be changes the course of not only our lives, but of those close tonus and the community in which we live.

A good Civil War-era movie about a Union soldier who returns to his home town (or does he?). Worth watching for the excellent acting and unexpected plot twists.

This was not my first copy of this movie. I was replacing one I had loaned out and never got back. This has always been one of my favorite movies. Ranks right up there with A Walk To Remember and The Last Samurai.

Great movie!

Ich habe diese DVD auf deutsch bestellt. Bekommen habe ich diese in englischer Sprache.Ich wollte die Ware retournieren, leider habe ich nie eine Antwort bzw. einen Retourschein erhalten. So habe ich die DVD geöffnet, und musste feststellen, dass ich diese auch nicht auf meinem DVDplayer abspielen lässt.Ein kompletter Reinfall.

Bild grottenschlecht - nur englische Tonspur - wo bleibt die Blu Ray ? - Ich rate von einem Kauf ab.7 Wörter bleiben - An Amazon: Ihr solltet das mit den Mindestzeichen endlich beenden. Denn bei manchen Produkten sind wenige Worte schon zu viel - man ist manchmal sprachlos und soll so etwas dann auch noch in Worte fassen.

Vermutlich ist die DVD auf Englisch, das konnte ich aber nicht herausfinden, die die Disc weder auf meinem DVD-Player noch auf meinem PC läuft. Die Rücksendung an den Lieferanten in Canada ist mir zu aufwendig (unbekannte Logistik-Firma), ist was für den Müll. Ich werden keine DVDs mehr bestellen.
