When you're going to trust a machine to feed your pet, you want to be absolutely sure that the machine is actually going to do the job. For a few months, the Petwant worked for me. But then it started sending me messages that there was no food in it, when there was plenty of food in it. So I started using the video function to see if it was actually feeding my cat while I was at work. I would tune in just before the 5pm feed time and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and sometimes it just spit out a few pieces of kibble that my cat gobbled down in about ten seconds. I worked from home a few times to see what it was doing and, sure enough, it was completely unreliable. The machine made some noise that had the cat running over, but no food came out.The last thing you want in an automatic, remote, pet feeder is to question whether or not it's working. Being unreliable is not an option. Thankfully, Amazon was willing to take this back. The limited amount of instructions and written material that came with this product was in very poor English and the only way to contact them was to make a phone call to Shenzhen, China. (They had a street address, if you wanted to write them.) The app was difficult to get started and was not always reliable either. But despite these other problems the most critical was that the thing is unreliable. You simply don't know if it's going to feed your pet. That should be enough info for you to select another device. Similarly, stay away from the feeders that look just like the Petwant. They're all the same materials, machine, and technology. They just have a different name slapped on it.

Absolutely Love the pet feeder! I love that you can program different feeding times and the amount. You can listen to your animals or talk to them while watching them.Reasonable priced so that’s a bonus!

This little device is exactly what I was looking for. I can finally sleep in on the weekends without kitty waking me up because she wants to eat. This feeder is very reliable, easy to use and well made. I especially like the camera feature that allows me to check in when l'm not home.

This pile of trash is so inconsistent, sometimes it doesn't feed at all, sometimes it just randomly empties the food, sometimes it just goes off whenever it wants. I have it on a schedule and I just watched it feed at 3:28pm, but it is set for 530am and 6pm. This thing is useless, don't buy it because you have no clue whether or not your dog gets fed.

I only give it two starts because it's quit helpful to have an automatic feeder at home. But the machine broke (completely shut down) not even a year after getting it. So see it as a short investment. It's also not great with the notification system, sometimes it works and some others it does not.

After spending hours to try to make it work it's still not working. Sad part is that I spend $120 and just open the box this weekend June 28 when we are getting ready to go in vacation. The feeder does not connect and my time to return has experied 1 month after purchase ( june 22). It says to call customer service Guess what?! There is no phone number listed!

Overall very happy with this feeder. Video and sound quality are the best ever but for the price of this pet feeder it is as expected. The first time i filled with food, over packed it and it jammed up. Just slowly add food to feeder and go. No need to shake it to make it settle.

I followed the instructions and also contacted support via email. They are located in China so email was the best option. They did reply promptly and I tried their suggestions but nothing worked and they said to return it for a full refund.
