Steinel HL 2020 E Plastic Welding Kit - incl. Heat Gun with LCD-Display and Adjustable Temperature, hot air Gun Set for Shaping and Welding Plastics and PVC floorings

This is now my second Steinel, after about 3 years of almost everyday use my last one finally gave out. This is by far the best/longest lasting heat gun I’ve had. Works great for vinyl, tint, and PPF

First off, I had ordered this heat gun back in July, which unfortunately was when it was on back-order from the vendor. Not a big deal, as I didn't need it immediately. But I ended up receiving it about a month later.PROS: The heat gun came with all of the tips and the materials for plastic welding, as well as some heat shrink. It works as advertised, and it definitely hits it's top temperature in a fairly short amount of time. All-in-all, satisfied with the heat gun.CONS: The heat gun did not come in the "practical silver case" that was advertised. Instead, it came in a cheap plastic case with no real dividers for organization (see attached pictures), almost as if they had the gun, but no cases left, so they just threw it into whatever case they had handy, slapped a sticker on it, and shipped it out. In the second picture I had actually organized it better than when I had received it, they had literally just thrown everything in and closed the case.Summary: This heat gun works great, and came with all of the correct accessories EXCEPT the silver metal case as advertised.

I had never had one with nice temperature control and also the ability to stable in the vertical position with 3 rubber feet for it to sit on. I have not tried plastic welding, but that seems like it will be a nice feature.

All I can say is it’s truly an extremely nice tool. Pro quality and features. Great value. I have been using Steinel’s economy heat guns for over 18 years and they won’t die. Stepped up to the HL 2020 E and for the price I am 100% satisfied.

Despite both the product photo and description describing a "silver case", the kit I received came with a cheap plastic case. The false advertising is maddening. I cannot comment on the tool itself since I haven't decided whether or not to keep it.Seller: The way to make this right is to send the case promised in the description.

As usual, the heat gun from Steinel work great, are accurate, and last a long time. Love them.

I'm sure the gun is fine but I bought the automotive kit with temp scanner and all I got was the heat gun. When I filed for an exchange the new kit came the exact same way. Both cases say they are the correct kit with accessories yet they are empty.
