Essential for my Kitchen
I've used a strawberry/tomato corer for years and then one day it broke. I thought I'd have a hard time replacing it.I'd had it for so many years, I had no idea where I'd bought it. But Amazon had what I wanted & replacing it was really easy. I bought 4 corers so I won't be at a loss again.

The Safer Way To Core Tomatoes
These are great! We always used these in the restaurants I worked in when I was younger. As I got older it was habit to use a knife. I'm also a known klutz.I haven't cut myself once coring a tomato since I got these! Which is great, since we have 9 tomato plants! I bought a 4 pack and gave two to my mom. She's older and not as steady as she used to be. I feel so much better knowing she's coring things with these and not a knife!

Works
My sister, a chef, bought me a smaller less expensive one that accidentally found its way to the garbage disposal. This is perfect, because it's bigger, easier to hold and see, and works effortlessly on strawberries and tomatoes. Love it.

Too big
I bought this set of 4 to give to fam members when we make our yearly jams and jellies. I have 2 others that are a different brand. I ordered these because I thought.... aren't they all the same? Umm .. no, they aren't. My old ones have a clawed scoop that is about a third smaller than these. If you're going to use these for small strawberries - you're going to get a fair amount of waste. The scoop is just too big for strawberries (in my opinion). For tomatoes- these would be great.
