Beyond my Expectations
I was always skeptical of wireless headphones due to the latency and the requirement to charge them periodically. These headphones have no to very little latency, and don't require me to be plugged in to charge the headset thanks to the charge station. The ear covers are a very soft cloth that make long, multi-hour sessions not give any ear fatigue. There is even that same cloth cushion on the top to help with pain on the top of your head. The mic's sound quality is very good and clear. This is me using the base settings, too. With the ability to adjust the audio and mic settings with the software is a big plus no matter what you are using them for. I would genuinely recommend these to any who has been debating going wireless. The only downside, the price can be a bit steep. If you are unsure if you'll stick with them, grab them when they go on sale like I did.

BAD Quality Tons Of Defective Headsets Horrible Support And Purposefully A Return Nightmare
Bad experience is an understatement, but I'll break it down like everything broke down on me.The top of the headset unsnapped apart first time I used it, so had to snap it back in (See photo). Will say sounded good, but when I was done noticed I had to fiddle with for a couple seconds every time too get it charge in the charge tray. Weird, maybe I'm not putting in in right I'll learn right?Next day, snaps out again. Charging tray still blinks and makes me try to get it to charge every time (See photo). Sounds good so still want to see if I can fix. Nope, week later top of headset is completely broke and charging is even worse now.Bummer, maybe I got a bad one should probably return for another. Then checked Astro 50 problems on Reddit and there is SO MANY people having this same problem!Figure I'll just get refund, so I try to return on Amazon and here's where it gets sketchy by ASTRO and Amazon. They send me a QR code and say this product can only be returned at an Amazon Kaspian store. What? So I google Amazon Kaspian store no locations pop up, great have to call customer service.Customer service is just as confused doesn't know what an Amazon Kaspian store is, says some vendors require items to be shipped different ways. They checks it out and then it just means return at any Amazon hub center. Cool there's one a mile from house... NOPE! Get there say the QR code doesn't work not for their store.Back on phone with Amazon Customer service. they're not sure what an Amazon Kaspian store is, but assure me I just take it to a UPS Store that does Amazon QR code returns. Okay... wow UPS says the QR code is def not for their store! At this point back on call wit customer service like "Guys can I just get a return label and drop it at UPS? "No, this vendor requires it to be shipped this way". *Remember this, gets better2 days later, 3 hours of customer service chats, 4 calls, nobody knows what an Amazon Kaspian store is, but one nice customer service person say "Maybe it's like the specific Amazon Return center at USC?" So I am sent to the USC college return center which is 15 miles from my house.I ask the very nice guy at the counter, is this an Amazon Kaspian return center that will take this QR code? He doesn't know what an Amazon Kaspianstore is, but tries the QR code and it works! Yay! "Why do I have to return here?" I ask"Some vendors choose how they are shipped, and make returns hard because they don't want returns." Finally, the truth! Very hard indeed. whatever glad its finally over, or is it?(Oh, had to park in the USC garage that cost 5 bucks btw)Anyway get home, the email says I've been refunded MINUS A RESTOCKING FEE of 60 dollars! what?Call customer service again, they say sorry don't know why VENDOR Charged that, and took it off. Really ASTRO?So there you go, 3 days of my life are gone, but hey they did sound good, just wouldn't stay on my head or charge and they purposely make returns a nightmare then charge you a restocking fee. GG Squad!

Best headset I've owned so far
The first A50's I ordered were advertised as "refurbished" and I quickly found out that was not a good idea. They were listed for half the cost of a brand new pair, so I thought why not. I assumed someone else ordered a new headset because their old headset station stopped working, so they swapped their broken station for the new one and then returned the item & basically replaced the headset station for free, because the charging station never powered on. Needless to say, I returned the refurbished headset and bit the bullet and paid for a brand new pair. I know alot of folks might be apprehensive about spending $300 on a gaming headset, but after years of blowing through cheap headset after cheap headset I decided it's time to invest in the best headset money could buy after reading reviews on the A50'S. I've now owned & used them for about two months and held off on leaving a review until I spent enough time using them for a honest and fair review of the product. I can honestly say the sound is superior to any other headset I've ever used. They sound great for gaming but what came as a bonus is when I discovered they were even more amazing for listening to music. I like to crank the volume up and listen to my favorite music often and found out these work better than my actual studio headphones that I used to wear for causal listening. The headset comes with a software app where you can EQ and adjust the volume, bass etc settings to your liking. These suckers are loud and that's the way I like em! Nice high, med and low range. I really can't complain about a single thing, other than after a couple of hours they can become slightly uncomfortable, but that may be a ME problem and not a product issue, as I typically have issues with migraines and having anything pressed against my head for extended periods of time. Oh, and when placing the headset back onto the charging station, sometimes it acts a little picky about how I place them onto the station if the headphone contacts aren't touching exactly where they need to be on the charger; it takes a little wiggling around to get it to make contact & charge. Battery life seems decent. I have no idea what the advertised battery life is but you'll probably get about 4-5 hours easily with a full battery. Additionally, the material they are made with feels strong & durable, but also lightweight at the same time - almost like a carbon fiber material.Case and point - this is more than likely the last headset I'll ever need to buy (knock-on wood) unless something horribly goes wrong and they stop working or get destroyed. Highly recommend if you have the extra cash to invest in a A+ product and are looking for the best possible gaming headset out there.
